Plastic tubes and pipes: Curtain up for the heroes of sustainable infrastructure

With this in mind, Tube 2024 is establishing a new area, the Plastic Tubes & Pipes Area, to showcase the latest advances and applications in the plastic tube industry, bridging the gap between current needs and future solutions.

At Tube 2024, the leading international trade fair for the tubes industry, the plastic tubes and pipes industry will be showcased in the newly established Plastic Tubes & Pipes Area. This area, located in Hall 1 of the Düsseldorf exhibition centre, offers over 1,000 national and international companies a platform to present their latest technologies, machines, systems, end products and services. The trade fair, which will take place from 15 to 19 April 2024, attracts trade visitors, exhibitors and investors from all over the world and is regarded as an indispensable meeting place for the industry to generate new impetus, maintain contacts and establish business partnerships.

Plastic tubes and pipes, known for their durability, corrosion resistance, ease of installation and recyclability, play a central role in a wide range of applications. From coping with heavy rainfall events and periods of drought to supporting the expansion of fibre optic networks – plastic tubes and pipes offer innovative solutions for current and future challenges. Their importance ranges from traditional drinking water supply and wastewater disposal to the development of nationwide hydrogen distribution networks.

The industry places a strong focus on the careful use of resources, which is reflected in the topics of Circular Economy and recycling. The Kunststoffrohrverband (German plastic tubes and pipes association) emphasises the importance of reusing old tubes and pipes and sections of them as recyclate in new products, a process that has been established for almost 30 years. In addition, the use of green energy and the use of bio-based materials are becoming increasingly important.

The Plastic Tubes & Pipes Area at Tube 2024 will therefore not only provide a comprehensive overview of the latest developments and innovations in the plastic tubes and pipes industry, but also a forum for companies and professionals to discuss and further develop leading sustainable practices and technologies.
