If you're looking for a structured entry point, SKZ (Plastics Center Würzburg) is one of the most reputable addresses in the German-speaking world. The introductory course covers:

AIMPLAS Plastics Academy – international online courses

AIMPLAS is a technology centre in Spain with a wide range of courses.

Online Plastics Bootcamp by the American Injection Molding Institute

The AIM Institute offers a comprehensive online portfolio – including the Plastics Bootcamp, which teaches fundamentals across all key areas, such as materials, tool design, injection moulding, part design and process simulation.

The multi-hour modules are fee-based, but they cover a great deal of specialist knowledge and are well suited to first-year students or career starters – ranging from entry-level formats to demanding advanced training.

Plastics.Training – free trial for "Injection Moulding Fundamentals"

Paulson Training Programs is a training provider for the plastics industry, offering a broad spectrum of online courses and seminars. Good to know: after registering, you can access a free trial version of an introductory injection moulding course.

Digital learning centre of the RESINEX Academy

The RESINEX Academy offers many short, compact learning modules ("microlearning"). Practical if you prefer to develop your skills in small, easily digestible topic-specific units.

Tooling U-SME – advanced learning platform

Tooling U-SME is a training platform run by SME, a non-profit organisation that has been teaching manufacturing expertise for decades. You’ll find more than 600 online courses covering manufacturing technologies, all reviewed and developed by experts. For the plastics industry, five intermediate courses specifically focused on plastics processing are particularly interesting. FLiP – Future Leaders in Plastics (mentoring programme)

FLiP is an initiative of the Plastics Industry Association, the central industry association for the plastics sector in the US. The mentoring programme is aimed at young talents in their first years of professional life. It offers:

access to industry experts, thought leaders and resources
development of your own leadership skills

Mentor programme and student membership at SPE

The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) is a globally connected professional organisation for people working in the plastics industry and materials science. If you're still studying, a Student Membership offers access to scholarships, courses, technical events, publications and local chapters.

EPDA Next-Gen Network – networking in Europe

The European Plastics Distributors Association (EPDA) connects plastics distributors and manufacturers across Europe. With the Next-Gen Network, EPDA specifically targets young professionals. Your benefits include:
